CHAIRS FOR THE ARTS
The Chairs for the Arts fundraising program kicked off in January of 2009. For each $250 collected, an artist decorated a chair to illustrate one area of the arts. The program exceeded its goal, funding 30 chairs for a total of $7500 to help furnish, equip, and maintain the Studio at 224 E. Livingston. The finished chairs now furnish the Studio.
At a party on June 7, 2009, MAAC thanked chairpersons, contributors, and artists for their role in this project. A special thanks goes to the Chairs for the Arts committee—LeAndra Vogelzang, Maureen Holtz, and Sharon and Ed Williams—for their dedicated work throughout the program and celebration. An even larger thank you goes to each of those who contributed money, time, and materials to help us reach our goal.
